How many books are in the boxcar children's series


I remember reading (and loving!) Boxcar Children's books when I was younger, so when my older daughter was old enough to enjoy the chapter books, I immediately bought them for her. Just as I had hoped, I'm a hit!

We often read books together before going to bed and we can't get enough of the good old adventure. I love the lack of cell phones, gadgets and gadgets in books when the author, Gertrude Chandler Warner, started writing them in the 1940s. Years have passed since then
I read the books on my own and sometimes I find myself reading first where my daughter and I are in the books because I am anxious to know what will happen.

They are simple and fun! We have given this particular box on several occasions and the recipients have always returned and expressed how much they too liked the books. They are perfect for children who are just starting to show interest in reading chapter books or for younger children who are read by an adult. My only complaint about this set is the new cover.

I miss the covers of when I was a child! But this has no influence on the stories themselves or on the memories I have of reading them as a child, and now I am creating similar memories with my children.
